The information we collect
Depending on how you use noecraft.com, we may hold:
- Messages you send: your name, email address and anything you write to us.
- Order details: your billing and delivery address, phone number, the pieces you buy and your order history.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login, saved addresses, past orders and preferences.
- Payment details: what is needed to take payment. You can pay by card (Visa or Mastercard) or by direct bank transfer, with no fee either way. We never store your full card number; card payments are handled securely with 3D Secure.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser and device type and how you move through the site, collected through cookies.
- Marketing choices: whether you have opted in to hear from us.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we do not buy personal data from anyone else.
How and why we use it
- To process and deliver your orders and run your account (performance of a contract).
- To reply to your messages (legitimate interests).
- To meet our legal and tax duties, such as keeping sales records (legal obligation).
- To look after and improve the shop (legitimate interests).
- To send you marketing, only where you have asked for it (consent).
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time through the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
Cookies
Noecraft uses cookies. The necessary ones keep the shop and checkout working, such as your basket and login. With your consent we also set a small number of non-essential cookies. There are no advertising cookies and no website-analytics cookies on Noecraft. A banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice later. The full list is in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. A small number of providers handle information for us, only on our instructions:
- The maker or fulfilment partner who dispatches your order, which receives your delivery details so your parcel can be packed and sent.
- Our hosting and security provider, which runs the website.
- Our email provider, which sends and stores your messages and order emails.
- Our payment provider, which processes your payment securely.
We may also share information where the law requires it.
Sending information outside the UK and EEA
Our makers and providers are based in various European countries. Where information is sent outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as UK and EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Messages you send us are held for up to 24 months after our last contact. Order and account records stay with us while your account is open, and after it closes we keep them only for the period tax and accounting law sets, normally up to 6 years. Once that time passes, they are erased.
How we keep it safe
The site runs over HTTPS and payment data is encrypted. Access is limited to the people who need it and is protected by strong authentication. No system is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
- Ask what we hold about you and get a copy.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have your information deleted.
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these, email info@noecraft.com and you will hear back within a month, at no cost.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EEA it is your national supervisory authority.
Children
Noecraft is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. Where a change is significant, we will say so clearly.
